Reston Town Center Metro station opened on November 15, 2022, as part of the Silver Line Phase 2 extension. The station sits in the median of the Dulles Toll Road beside Reston Town Center's mixed-use district; two pedestrian bridges carry riders over the highway to street level, from where the restaurants, hotels, outdoor ice rink and office towers of the plaza are a short walk north.
Reston Town Center is one of the most walkable transit-oriented developments in the Washington metro area. The plaza hosts year-round events, including a popular outdoor ice rink in winter and outdoor concerts and markets in warmer months. Upscale dining, national retailers, and multiple hotels are all within a short stroll of the station exits.
There is no commuter parking at this station — WMATA lists it as having no parking available, with Kiss & Ride drop-off on both sides of the highway. Fairfax Connector buses and Loudoun County Transit route 312 connect to residential areas throughout Reston that are not within walking distance, and there are 40 bike racks and 22 lockers at the station.
