Court House Metro station opened on December 1, 1979, as part of the original Rosslyn–Ballston corridor of the Orange Line. Located along Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia, the station takes its name from the Arlington County Courthouse complex directly above and adjacent to the station entrance.
The station sits at the center of a high-density residential and office neighborhood that has grown dramatically since the Metro's arrival. - The Custis Trail is accessible just north of the station and provides a dedicated cycling path to Georgetown and the C&O Canal towpath. It's one of the best commuter cycling routes in the DC region — about 3.5 miles to Georgetown.
- For Arlington County Courthouse business, exit toward N. 14th Street. The courthouse entrance is less than a 2-minute walk from the station fare gates. Arrive early — courthouse parking is extremely limited and Metro is the reliable option.
- Court House has a smaller but solid dining scene compared to Clarendon next door. Wilson Boulevard between Court House and Clarendon has several well-regarded restaurants ideal for dinner before or after a Metro ride.
- Zone 1 station — fares match the minimum SmarTrip rate. Peak trips to Metro Center are approximately $2.25. Silver Line trains also serve this station, adding extra frequency during rush hours.

Does Court House Metro have parking?
No. Court House Metro station does not have a WMATA Park & Ride lot. The surrounding neighborhood is dense and urban. Commercial parking is available in nearby garages, but taking Metro is strongly recommended for courthouse visits and other trips to the area.
How far is Court House from Rosslyn?
