- On Friday and Saturday nights, Clarendon is extremely active. Metro runs until 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday nights, but the last trains fill quickly. Plan your departure before midnight to avoid crowded platforms or missed trains.
- The area along Wilson Boulevard and Clarendon Boulevard between the Metro and Wilson Blvd/N. Garfield St corridor has the highest concentration of bars and restaurants. Most are within 3–5 minutes of the station exit.
- The Clarendon Farmers Market runs every Saturday from April through November, just one block from the station entrance. One of the best farmers markets in Northern Virginia.
- Metrorail fares are calculated by distance travelled. Weekday trips from Clarendon between 5:00 AM and 9:30 PM cost $2.25–$6.75 depending on distance, and after 9:30 PM and all weekend a flat reduced fare of $2.25–$2.50 applies — an advantage for night-trippers returning to DC.
