About Braddock Road Station

Braddock Road station serves the Blue and Yellow lines in the northern section of Alexandria, Virginia, adjacent to the beloved Del Ray neighborhood. Opened in 1983, the station is located on the edge of the historically significant Braddock Heights community and provides access to both the residential fabric of northern Alexandria and the rapidly developing Potomac Yards corridor.

Del Ray, just east of the station, is one of Alexandria's most walkable and vibrant neighborhoods — known for its independent restaurants, boutiques, and arts venues along Mount Vernon Avenue. The Potomac Yards development, a large mixed-use redevelopment on former rail yard land, is transforming the area with residential, retail, and office space.

Braddock Road is now one stop south of Potomac Yard-VT, which opened in May 2023 as the Metro's 98th station and serves the Potomac Yard development directly.

DASH bus routes connect the station to surrounding neighborhoods, including the historically significant neighborhood of Rosemont and the commercial corridors along Braddock Road and Hume Avenue.
