- For Strathmore concerts, take Metro — parking at the venue is limited and costs $10–15. Walk east on Tuckerman Lane from the station exit; the walk is flat, well-lit, and takes about 7 minutes.
- Check the last Red Line departure time before attending an evening concert. Most shows end by 10:30pm, well within Metro operating hours, but late-night events or encores can cut it close on Sunday nights, when Metro closes at midnight.
- This is one of the quieter park-and-ride stations on the outer Red Line — the lot tends to have spaces available even after 9am on weekdays, unlike the busier Shady Grove or Rockville lots.
